@Anybodyhome appreciate your reply. You've hit the nail on the head, both the dealer and I said that excact same thing. Isn't that enough proof ? I feel like they're being dishonest and just going to deny the claim for no reason. I contacted a lawyer yesterday to be prepared once this happens...

@tJKrider thanks for answering. Actually better than that. If the engine is damaged they'll replace new crate 3.6 thru warranty. If engine is fine then I'll owe 1000 bucks

@WestCoastDan dealership also showed me this fca bulletin showing there policy on what justifys replacement. I'm not a mechanic so I'm just reading up on this so really knowing is difficult.

Got some pictures from the dealership. They found metal in oil pan including a big chunk of something, anybody recognize what it is. Also found metal in filter,magnetic dip tube, oil control valve screen. Dealer says it needs a new engine. Mopar warranty still says this isn't enough proof and...

Does anyone know the part number for a new 3.6 pentastar crate engine. Brand new not a remanufactured or refurbished. Jeep is replacing under warranty and want to know what there giving. Thanks

Update ! New engine ordered. Jeep dropped the pan amd found metal both shavings and a chunk and have submitted for engine replacement. If that cam has wear the engine has been taking a beating with wear metal shavings.

I'm hoping for the new engine.

Update. Jeep replaced all cams, lifters,rocker arms,rear main seal and are bringing the jeep back in to drop the oil pan searching for metal for a possible engine replacement. This is all under lifetime mopar warranty. Anything else I should have them check and would a new engine be the best...

Same issue cam shaft wear 3.6 pentastar on 2015 jku. Took it in and dealer replaced all cams lifters rocker arms and rear main seal. My worry is the metal that was worn off the cams. anybody help is much appreciated
