Slop between bell housing and starter

You shouldn't need washers if they're the original bolts. Just get a "wobble" extension long enough to clear everything and snug it all up. Harbor Freight has them and they're inexpensive. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-piece-3-8-eighth-inch-drive-impact-wobble-socket-extension-set-67065.html

What did you do to your JK today?

And summers are great, except for the mosquitos, black flies and other biting insects. I camped up in Copper Harbor for two days on a motorcycle ride around the perimeter of the Upper Peninsula.

What did you do to your JK today?

Way northern Michigan, even that's a bunch over such a short time. There's a snow pole in Houghton/Hancock (UP) that goes up over 300 inches. Their record is ~350 inches for one winter. Buffalo and Canada north of Lakes Erie and Ontario get hammered regularly because lake effect. They were...

Where I can find metal retainer clips that hold the lightbulb in the dome light of the Jeep?

If you look close, the plug pins are there on those.

Where I can find metal retainer clips that hold the lightbulb in the dome light of the Jeep?

Should be a plug in. Factory isn’t going to solder stuff on the assembly line.

    What Rigid lights are these?

Time for a new light bar. I think those bulbs are hard wired and not replaceable. They look like the new E series bars, but they don't come in combo colors of yellow/white.

Tires for 17x7.5 stock JK Willy wheels

Talk with a rep at Discount or Belle Tire. IME, they’re pretty good with fitment and recommendations. Happy Discount customer for 20+ years. Pretty sure you can swap 33s on, but I’m not seeing your vehicle in person. 7.5” width rims are generally too narrow for 12.50 width tires, causing wear...

Antifreeze temp rarely gets over 175

Yeah, I had some experiences... Ended up costing me $300 to have the coolant flushed because some idiot topped off the Jeep's coolant bottle with washer fluid. Brain dead morons work in oil change places. Then again, I had the Ford dealer do the oil change on my old Focus while on my...

    Rear bumper tire carrier suggestions

I’m a fan of the newer Smittybilt bumpers. My Jeep came to me with an older version with no lube point on the pivot shaft, so I end up using lightweight silicon based oil applied under the cap. I need to buy or borrow a power port tool to lift the swing arm off the pivot and self modify it with...

    Traction Board Mounting

Not a good idea when actually offroading. They’ll lower clearance and probably get scraped off. AND - if you need them, they’re unavailable under the stuck vehicle. 😂

2011 Jeep Wrangler no crank, no start

Crud, I did a quick blow thru the post and totally missed that the selling dealership did it. Only places I’ve ever seen anything like that was the buy here/pay here poor credit corner lots. Ooops? :(

2011 Jeep Wrangler no crank, no start

On electrical work? Absolutely! Techs don’t do stuff out of the goodness of their hearts. An hour’s work is an hour’s pay. We’re mercenaries. lol

    Aftermarket lights and switches

I'm using an S-Pod and it simplifies adding anything electric. Install the switch panel above the rear view mirror, run the wire harness inside the left A post and down to the distribution box under the hood. Anything electric connects to the box and the switches are then active...

Need help with spare tire lug nut key

The six spline lug nuts are extremely common. Heck, I have 3-4 keys in my toolbox/Jeep/wife's car. You can buy them off Amazon, eBay and any auto parts store. It's easier to take them off vs the factory standard fake ones that lose the stamped metal covering and then you get to take a...

    Jasper vs LKQ remanufactured engine

There should be far more than two bolts that hold the trans to the engine, usually four or six total. The alignment pin is still there and working, just isn't surrounded entirely. I'd let the trans folks put the transmission in and just keep an eye on it if the budget's tight.
