I was going to do the core first then hook the system back up and do the method where you run Distilled water through it drain rinse and repeat

Would i be able to just disconnect the hose and use the end to do the flush, then reconnect it without cutting it?

In the below videos the guys cut one of the hosesto the heating core, is that necessary or did they just not want to dig for the other end?
