    Powered sub install

Congrats on the install! I’m actually happy with sound of the stock system in my Sahara, but I want a new head unit. I might pick up the same Kenwood unit that you have.

    Harbor Freight Badlands Apex Winch

I'm glad this thread is still going. I'm looking at pulling the trigger on the Badlands 12k pound winch from Harbor Freight. It seems to do well in some of the long-term review videos that I've recently watched. I'm just trying to decide if I want to buy a stubby bumper, or get a winch plate...

What did you do to your JK today?

It was a few days ago, but I installed a used TrailDash 2 that I got a great deal on. I like it a lot.

What did you do to your JK today?

One of my rear brake lights went out. I replaced the bulbs on both sides with LED bulbs. I still have to install the load resistors. I'll probably do that this weekend.

    Carpeting question

X2 on the Bedrug kits. I had the liner (more like carpet) and the front of my TJ and the bedtred (like rubber/plastic) in the rear. I don't have carpet in the front area of my JK at the moment. I'll probably do a Bedrug product for it when they have their next sale. Sometimes you can get a 20%...

Tera Flex Alpine Long Arm kit

You should call Teraflex and ask them about it. They're super nice and very helpful. I called them last week with a question about installing a set of Teraflex ball joints. In case anyone is curious, I was wondering if I needed to grease both of the zerks on the lower joint since the lower...

What did you do to your JK today?

Thank you all for the well wishes. I know COVID and treatments for it cause a lot of insane controversy, but for me I was able to find Ivermectin and Hydroxycholorquine through a local clinic. They helped out a ton. I'm glad to be back to thinking about things like caring for my family, next...

What did you do to your JK today?

I just got my Jeep back on the road. I was in the middle of installing new Teraflex ball joints and a stock drag link and tie rod when I got covid in November. I was on oxygen for a month and a half and my Jeep just sat in the garage on jack stands. I'm glad to be back in good health and to have...

What did you do to your JK today?

I finally got my soft top on today. I was waiting to get torx bolts that hold the soft top brackets to the roll bar. I put up the top, washed the Jeep, and then took the top right back off.

    Manual one piece convertible top?

I never knew that such a thing existed. That auto one piece myTop looks pretty cool. I did a search for a manual top and I couldn't find anything. @MacGuyver's suggestion is a good one. I would call myTop and see if they will sell you a manual version or if they have one in the works.

    Hello from Texas

+1 on the 303 protectant. I use it on my wife’s truck’s tonneau cover to keep it nice in the sun. It also darkens and protects my hard top. I have Bestop cleaner and protectant for my Jk soft top, but I think 303 would do just as good for protection. For plastics I use Meguiars Back to Black...

What did you do to your JK today?

Today I got my hard top hoist set up! Then I realized that the soft top that I bought didn’t have the roll bar brackets with it, so I should be able to get the soft top on my Jeep after the brackets arrive on Monday. I’ll probably run the soft top for 6 weeks or so. Mostly took the hard top off...

Mix & Match Seat Swaps, SRS Airbags, So Many Choices!

Throw away what you have and get a pair of these. They're really all that you need. They're made for a forklift, so you know they're durable. Seriously though, I would be interested in keeping my airbags. Can you see if you can safely disassemble either of the new seat uppers and see if there...

    Hello from Colorado.

@Anybodyhome - Thanks! It was a well built TJ and I liked it a lot. I ended up getting 13k for it, which seems crazy high for a vehicle like that. A fella from Wyoming drove three hours to me in Colorado to make the purchase. It's interesting what the market is doing right now. It was hard to...

I also see what appears to be a pretty sweet XJ in the background. Very nice. Is that one yours too?

    Hello from Texas

Welcome! Glad to have you here. It will be fun to see if you decide to do any mods to either of your Jeeps as you dig around. I think that doing some small upgrades can be very satisfying and might be a good substitute for an entirely new purchase.

    Stock muffler

Why not have a shop weld the tips from your flow master onto a stock muffler? Or if you don’t want to cut your current exhaust so you can sell it, what about going back to stock and add a tip that you like?

    Stock wheels

@Danarch, For sure! It's fun to talk over these kinds of things. As of right now I'm checking Craigslist and Facebook marketplace every day for parts and things that I want that aren't too expensive. I just got back from picking up a hard top hoist for my garage. The fella I bought it from...

    Stock wheels

I wanted the spacers for a few reasons. The main reason is for the look. To me, it looks so much better with the tires sticking out just a bit. The other reason is that it buys me some time as I decide where I want to go with my build. I bought the Jeep just a few months ago. It has some nice...
