    Anyone have experience with replacing the oil filter adapter?

    Air is trapped, it is Difficult to burp it out, somehow I managed! Had code for thermostat, replaced and no heat on driver's side. I jacked up the front and kept squeezing the hoses. I also used a funnel, that adapts to the radiator fill. Amazon has them, if you cannot find elsewhere. It worked.

    Someone replied that it's varnish that causes the problem. I purchased a cheap replacement, haven't installed yet. I don't know of a way to prevent the varnish, as it occurs "naturally", nor do I know of a way to break the "seal" without torquing the housing. I haven't seen anything on youTube...

    It's original, far as we know, bought it with 30k, now at 58k.

    Is there any type of cure for these? I've replaced the one in our 2012, now the 2015 is leaking. Both started leaking well after oil changes, so I know it was not me.

    I replaced the oil filter/oil cooler on our 2012 JK, now the 2015 is leaking. Seems to be backordered everywhere. Rock Auto shows a cooler, but I'm pretty sure it's the plastic filter housing. Does anyone know of a cure for these failures or what the real issue is? No, I did not change the...
