Something seems like it's binding when making sharp turns

I've had problems with abs kicking in if im trail braking into a sharp corner. It feels kind of like what you are describing.

3.5 inch lift kit and spring recommendations (mostly on-road driving)

JKS and AEV are both extremely popular where I live and seem to be fine with wet environments and high milage If you are spending most of your time on the road I would reccomend getting something with the drag link flip, rubber bushings on your arms, welding the reinforcement bracket on and...

    Drag link

If you are easilly rolling it in a circular motion that means there is some wear on the joints. It should roll in a circular motion with some resistance. If the bar is moving vertically without rolling or if you can easily roll it with almost no effort that is either a problem or about to become...

Should 150k miles deter me from buying this 2011 JK?

E Exactly what he said. If they can't prove the lift is a reputable brand and how old it is based on reciepts it's worth less than it was stock. If you see fresh paint on the frame that is either really good or really bad. Bring a screwdriver with you and stab the frame with it anywhere you...

Any solution to raise the rear axle shock mounts?

If you really wanna do it a combo like this is probably your best bet. https://www.synergymfg.com/synergy-jeep-jk-rear-long-travel-upper-shock-mount.html https://www.synergymfg.com/synergy-jeep-jk-rear-lower-control-arm-skids-with-integrated-shock-mounts.html?category_id=4921

    Shock Question

I'd say the shock you pick is dependent on your driving style crossed with budget. Some people like firm and people like soft. If possible go for a ride with someone who has whatever shocks you are looking at and see how their jeep feels. The up vs down travel thing is a bit of a can of worms...

What's the deal with JKs from Canada?

When the JK was introduced in Canada our dollar was almost on par with yours. Since then the Canadian dollar has weakened significantly but the price of JKs did not increase so they were sold cheaper here than there. Your cash for clunkers program removed a lot of used car from circulation...

    Yet another cracked windshield

My Tj windshield looks like its been sandblasted but still only has a few small chips. My Jk windshield came with a decent sized chip and has developed two more within 2k kilometres of purchase. I am convinced that the shorter hood length is leading to more rock strikes but have zero evidence to...

    New to JK side

Yeah i agree with Chris on this. The JK is much better for going to soccer practice or the grocery store than the TJ and that can be seen in a lot of the owners. I think its excellent because it means lots of gently used jeeps to buy up as a second owner.

Practicing using my winch before I take the Jeep out

This guy has been around for a while and has some really good info. If you go to the bottom the additional reading section has a links to us army manuals which are extremely straight forward and helpful if you are new. http://www.billavista.com/tech/Articles/Recovery_Bible/index.html

JKU has no power from a dead stop

if you clean your ground connections i would reccomend using a wire brush and not sand paper since sand paper uses aluminum oxide and will leave behind aluminum particles which when oxidized create higher resistance. It will work good for a short time then will slowly get worse. If you coat all...

Choosing the right size tire and wheels

I've got 285/70r17 on stock rims with 1.5inch wheel spacers. I rub the top of the rear inner fenders and 3/4 of the way up the front edge of the rear flares. Im not really a fan of the cut flare look since it draws unnecessary attention where i live but that would probably get you the clearance...

    Jeep noob and new member

My JK came with a set of Falkem wildpeak at3w tires and I have a coworker with them in his tacoma. The at3w has so far surprised both of us with how well it does offroad for an at tire that is that is so pleasant on road. I believe your rubitrek tires are quite similar to them so I think you did...

    New to JK side

Hello, I've been on the TJ side of this place for a while but have recently acquired a 2017 jkur. I mostly just read and didn't respond to TJ things since just about every question I had, or had answers to was already answered. Judging by what I've seen so far i should have similar luck over...

    Any fisherman in here?

I would reccomend something longer for shore casting, anything 10 or 12 feet long with a heavy action good for at least 30lb line will work. I've got a 10ft ugly stick with some cheap 50lb braid I take take to work to cast off the the deck after hours while at anchor. It'll does the job with...
