    ARB twin compressor underseat install

I took these pics a while back so I figured I better post them up. First a quick pic of the wiring at the battery. And another quick pic of the switch location. This compressor performs great! It will air up the tires on my Jeep as fast as my twin via air compressors with 5 gallons capacity...

New MORryde heavy duty tailgate hinges

Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way. Just wanted to throw out some possible explanation.

New MORryde heavy duty tailgate hinges

I don't know why it would be hard to understand that this installation wouldn't be perfect for everyone. Possibly the fact that I have an aftermarket bumper which has a fairly tight tolerance to the bottom of the tailgate along with the tire carrier which attaches to the tailgate. No I did not...

New MORryde heavy duty tailgate hinges

It's a great option. The only thing that was a little interesting was getting the hinges adjusted but everything worked out great

New MORryde heavy duty tailgate hinges

This thread got me going so I installed a set of MORryde HD hinges today. The quality is superb and I love the fact they send stainless hardware. I've been worrying about the possibility of extra load on the tailgate since the tire carrier I put on moves in unison. Feel much better about it now!

Any suggestions for rust protection on frame?

Also, I didn't use the POR-15 brand prep supplies in my shop. Brakleen was good enough in there (no elements to worry about).

Any suggestions for rust protection on frame?

Yes sir I did. POR 15 is tough as hell..... can hardly even scratch it without getting a grinder. Mind you, I used it on bare steel for a loft in my shop. At the same time I wouldn't hesitate to use it on my Jeep and probably will in the future.

    License plate relocation

I haven't relocated my plate cause I don't like it on the spare but I did put together a third brake light setup that works great. The factory third brake light harness is used too.....it enters the light box through a gromet with silicone for assurance and the connectors are sealed.

285's or 305's for my 2008 JKU Rubicon?

I have 305/70-17s on mine. Let me tell you with the 3.8/auto trans combo it's gutless as heck at hiway speed. The trans is constantly searching back and forth cause there's not enough power to stay in the higher gear. I'm in the process of figuring out what gears I'm going to install. Long...

    Death Wobble

I'd say you have a tire with separating belts

Storage boxes for the roof rack

Ditto on the roof rack and rooftop bag. Not the same one but same concept...... I also put a cargo net tightly over mine so it doesn't flap in the wind which should help it last longer. Anything solid gets ratchet straps

    Switch Panel

I too ended up with one similar to the SPOD from Amazon that seems to work well and was easy to install. I opted for the a-pillar switches because my cb is mounted above the rear view mirror

    Doing the unthinkable

I would recommend POR-15 if you end up making a deal to buy it. Superior rust protection and tough as nails. It's pretty expensive but worth the investment. Good luck with your search for a new(er) Jeep!

    ARB twin compressor underseat install

Yes that's exactly my reason for doing the install in this fashion. I did not want to have it in the way under the hood for future servicing requirements and like you said it's out of the elements.
