    JK Pre-Start Oil Trick

I do agree with you. Reflecting on this, the only argument I can see rationalizing this is that doing this turns it over for a few seconds at a lower rpm than when it actually fires. ??? So this is more likely along the lines of Lettermans old "stupid pet tricks" ;)

    JK Pre-Start Oil Trick

Anyone else know about this? Am I late to the party? I just came across this video. Basically, if you hold the skinny pedal down while cranking, the engine won't fire but it the oil WILL prime. Release the ignition, release the pedal and then crank as normal and engine starts. Down side is...

    Fender lights to turn signals

Not possible using jscan. You can rewire things if you have stock lights. If you have LED's, you'll need to use something like blinker genie https://www.customled.com/products/blinker-genie-2

What 2.5" lift are you running?

Seriously doubt it, but no first hand knowledge

    JK high school build

For a 2dr, you might need them because of the shorter wheelbase but I'll defer to others that have the knowledge. You have to remember, 75% of JK's sold were JKU's, so there seem to be a LOT more 4dr builds out there.

    JK high school build

Totally agree. On a 2dr, I don't feel you "need" more than 2.5" for 35". Might want to do a fender chop or get aftermarket for greater clearance. Once you go higher than that, as @Danarch said, the add-ons can add up. Also, I absolutely concur with getting proper rims. I'm one of those that...

That is very true, too. 😁

    JK high school build

I believe going easy on the skinny pedal and learning to drive with finesse is directly proportional to part longevity. ;)

    Bolt size

Likely much cheaper than the dealer ;)

    Bolt size

I'm not sure, but I do know it's a 10mm head. Shoot, you could probably grab any 10 mm under the hood, see if it fits, then take it to the hardware store and match up with a couple new ones. Or possibly call up a dealership and get the actual part number and order it from them

The Official Jeep Wrangler JK Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

My wifes cousin has fainting goats. Those are the weirdest animals, but I digress :D The only caution I would have for you is to secure any extra cable. You don't want to have to replace it a 2nd time because the cable rested on the hot exhaust. I just checked the pricing and see that the...

The Official Jeep Wrangler JK Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

Looks like harness length. If you look up those part numbers on the ntk site, and then look at the specs, the 61 is 14 inches in length and the 62 is 10 inches in length. I don't know if there are any electrical differences, but I doubt it. If you are handy with a soldering iron, might work to...

The Official Jeep Wrangler JK Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

I wouldn't trust the database from advance, AutoZone, even Amazon... (especially Amazon), that's why I linked to the OEM website. The chart below is for a 2016 which is kind of interesting and reinforces what you posted. This shows a sort of cross compatibility but not an all compatibility. Jks...

What did you do to your JK today?

I had one of those in my old Cherokee! I scrounged it off of a chevy pickup, IIRC. Did you have this around or purchase new? That might be something I have to copy ;)

What did you do to your JK today?

Yeah, the passenger side was a b****. I had to pound it out from the top because of my rock rails not allowing a good swing and I messed up the alignment. No biggie, just added insult to injury. :) All good now. I'd recommend all Jeepers do this.

What did you do to your JK today?

Well, yesterday, but I finally got around to replacing the door bushings with Delrin ones from TMR. this is probably the 4th JK I've done this on. Usually makes removing/opening the door much smoother.

2012 JK skid plate part number

There are skid plates that are in addition to the gas tank skid plate. As MacGyver said the gas tank skid plate is actually what holds it in place. If you find a gas tank skid plate that replaces the existing one, and is cheaper, post it up. Most that I've seen are in addition to the existing...

    Alternator & Winching

Yup. I sometimes miss the simple stuff. That also gives you a working spare. Maybe not at the same performance level, but usable until a new one can be had.
