License plate light not working after LED pulled

Damn schematics. I pulled about 4 schematics online. All said the M17 mini fuse is for the left turn/licence plate/running light and the M18 was for the right side. I swapped the fuses and I got licence plate light, but no left. it was my right side lights (park/running) fuse that was out...

Is my tire screwed from this nail?

Have you yanked it yet? The puncture at the bottom appears to be in the sidewall.

License plate light not working after LED pulled

07 JKU: Last night we took the kids for a ride (doors & top off). Out of the corner of my eye, I see flickering, which ended up being the licence plate LED bulb (cheap Amazon one my friend gave me. When I pulled into the garage, i fiddled with it. Stopped flickering for a second, but started...

Yukon gears: increase viscosity when towing?

Thats very true. And I won't be. A camping in the winter here. I could always just swap out though, since it's quick and relatively inexpensive. I think after speaking to you guys, I may just leave it.

    Traction control issues

I think they're on the same row of buttons, right? Maybe the harness begging the panel came loose or maybe the fuse popped for a random reason (it is a Jeep after all.

Yukon gears: increase viscosity when towing?

Much appreciated for your responses. Makes me feel better, especially with BlackJKU's use of 80/90 with the dually. I just wanted to make sure I took care of those diffs. Probably the best money I've spent on this Jeep. I'll keep that 80/90w in there. Maybe I'll swap out to a higher weight when...

Yukon gears: increase viscosity when towing?

I guess not. The Off-road shop said the same thing. On their website, they sell Union 76 conventional oil for their gears too.

Yukon gears: increase viscosity when towing?

Greetings all! I just had a thought and I emailed Yukon gears for their thoughts. I didn't get a straight answer. I had 4.56 Yukon gears installed about 8 months ago. We bought a 1400lb/1700lb loaded pop up camper that I've hauled twice since we bought it. These 4.56 gears pull awesome w/...

    Engine ticking noise

Keep me/us posted. I have 128k on my 07 and I replaced the plugs, but not the coil and wires due to time constraints that week. Ran 10x better. Then, I haven't had a chance (procrastinating) to do the wires/ coil yet. Good luck and hope you find the issue.

    Engine ticking noise

Aside from taking it to a shop to get it diagnosed, have you checked the plugs, wires, etc.? The ticking could come from an exposed plug wire and the drop in RPM might be consistent with the symptoms of it. Keep us posted on what you find out. How many miles? And if it’s over 100k, do you...

Can I safely tow this with my 2008 2-door Sahara?

Took our second trip with our pop up camper this week and the braking has been fine, without trailer brakes for the 1800-1900lbs (loaded) camper. I'm not in my 50's yet (close) AND I'm dreading getting under there and wiring in the brake controller. I think I might leave it and rather put on...

Looking for a new head unit for 2008 JK

I used Best Buy stuff for the system in my '72 Chev truck if you want to touch, feel, sample first. The Kenwood head unit /Kicker speaker combo turned out well. For our jeeps, just make sure you get a canbus to integrate into our Jeep's electrical system. Crutchifield DOES kick ass and they...

I’m going broke and insane (and need help diagnosing my Jeep)

I'm with Furious George. Did you by chance bring your tune back to stock before they replaced the trans? Not that it would definitely do something funky, but maybe? So sorry this happened. I'm sure it's frustrating.

How to program a new key FOB for your Jeep Wrangler JK

I had one transponder key that I bought for $10 on Amazon and it wouldn't work because I only had 1 programmed key. However, most hardware stores will cut it for you for free. After my failed attempt, I took it to a locksmith and it only took 5 min and $40 to program it (hell of a lot cheaper...

Looking for a new head unit for 2008 JK

If ease of install/wiring is what you are looking for, in addition to the under $300 budget - check these out on Amazon that are plug and play. I've been debating to get one of these for a year or so, but a Pedal Commander and re-gearimg took priority. There's a couple Chinese manufactured...

    Shift Stick. Boot Upgrade

That's a good point about wanting what we don't have, which goes along with me always trying to make things better that I could prob live with. I DID swap out my shift shaft/stick and knob recently to one from updated JKs (2017) that seemed to have a better isolator where it bolts in and a brand...

2009 JK gear shift knob removal

Yeah, I've tried all the tricks. None of them worked on my 07. I replaced my inner shift boot, shaft and knob. Factory knobs are about $25 at the dealership (if they try to charge you more, tell them to eat a Richard). This may be what you may result to, but just buy a new shift knob first...
