What 2.5" lift are you running?

I need to replace my rear shocks but noted that all my springs are looking really gnarly and they're easily 10 years old. So, figured Id replace them and maybe drop the height from 3.5/4 inches to 2.5 inches. So I'm looking for real world feedback on either the AEV 2.5 kit or the JKS Jspec...

What did you do to your JK today?

Changed my front stabilizer bushings. The new one's had a clear coating that cracked and sort of peeled off. Reminded me of the casings on a hotdog. 😆

Jeep lifetime warranty for 2008 Wrangler not honored

They keep calling for me to contact them so they can update their original quote. Not only is it expensive but they'd have to have someone inspect it and that comes out of my pocket whether they pass or fail me. 🤣

Jeep lifetime warranty for 2008 Wrangler not honored

Mopar still offers a 5 year or 100k mile warranty. They are expensive though. I had one priced for mine this year and it was close to 3k. It's so costly that it would make more sense to sock that money in a CD account and hope to not touch it before it matures. And fingers crossed, never have to...

    Camshaft Position Sensor Codes

    $1400 isn't bad. Issue gone. Then it's a win. 👍

Another oil cooler bites the dust

Its a hell of a "job" in my opinion. But all too common, unfortunately.

Another oil cooler bites the dust

I don't blame ya one bit. Its really a toss-up with the 2012 and up JK's. That's the brutal truth. But Im not too worried about shyt talking the Jk. Most these dude's aren't sensitive to others speaking their mind. 😁

What is the best product to clean / restore fenders?

This helped me. Hope you find it useful. It sure did make me realize that this is a booming industry: snake oil in a plastic bottle✅

First Jeep, tell me where to start

Good for you, for fixing the infamous tick and getting into a Wrangler. My advice: drive and enjoy it. Worry about repairs as they come. The tick and oil filter housing leaks are some of the more common issues. Id say temp sensor and thermostat can fail quite early too. But they're easy fixes...

    I want a inexpensive Wrangler

Just get one that has no major rust issues, a 6 cylinder, and maybe the least modifications. Unless you find them tasteful to your preference. I wouldnt be concerned about mileage. Engines and transmissions can be replaced at a relatively low cost. EDIT: looking for another one myself and I...

Out of ideas and replaced most components.....

I sort of chuckle at the idea of airing down to help with darting. I get that we get desperate when we try what seems like everything and it doesn't resolve the issue. Does it feel like your uncontrollably moving to the right or left, as if you where in a floating boat on waves at highway...

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

Appreciate the response! You went all in, you could say, getting a whole lift. Curious, you replaced all 8 control arms with adjustable from MC?

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

So wait, you installed the lift or had a shop install the lift AND align it too, correct? Im very curious as to the flow of how this fantastic outcome was achieved. Because there's a lot of shit lifts that still ride straight. Id just like to know exactly what fixed it. It would seem obvious it...

    2017 JKU is running hot

No codes, no concern would be my MO. If you feel safer changing the coolant temp sensor, go a head. Its cheap enough and super easy to do. My suggestion is to NOT release the radiator cap when doing the job. This way you won't lose much coolant when changing the sensor. And def go MOPAR...

New to the Jeep family - just traded in a Honda Civic for an 2018 JK Altitude in Bright White.

Id never trade my Honda in for a Jeep. So thats why I have both. But the Honda has long become my wife's daily. Of course the Jeep is pure fun. Welcome to the money train! ✌️ If you're on the forum then the mods may never end. 😂 cheers

    Jeep Haters

Hater here. Of the JK's that is. Because mine is always being "repaired". EDIT: welcome aboard, though. It's still the most fun vehicle Ive owned. And It's my 3rd Wrangler.

This is what's wrong with the US legal system

No system is perfect. That is for sure. But some are a hell of a lot better than others. But that probably depends on who you ask and what their legal situation is.

    Transmission shuttering

Ok, then you've done the right thing. And I wasn't aware the older JK's require slippage additive. So I learned something new. Hopefully, worst case it's a reprogramming issue and nothing mechanical. Keep the thread advised as you work through it. Always good to have the info avail for other...

    Transmission shuttering

Why the slippage additive? Further more, did you drain the torque converter too? My understanding is a filter change and pan drop is the best way to refresh the fluid, while leaving what is in the converter as is. But more than anything, a high mileage transmission is better left alone than...
