    Soft Top or Not?

Interested for report on the Sunrider. When we rented in Hawaii removing and reattaching the Freedom panels didn't seem like a big deal. Did have one of these WAY back in the day with the T-tops so my have just been muscle memory.

    Soft Top or Not?

We do an extended family vacation in Ft Walton/Destin every couple of years, great area with nice people. Yeah I was there year round I'd just do the soft top.

    Soft Top or Not?

We do have a garage and unless we're travelling our vehicles are in it at night. We do live in a snow state . I'm one of those people that will be damned if I let a vehicle sit out, especially in the winter while part of the garage is filled with old newspapers or some other crap. Guess...

    Soft Top or Not?

Thanks for the reply. Ours is actually supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We're in IL and right now snowing and 40 MPH winds an d6-8 inches of snow Saturday night so no open air stuff for a while. Not supposed to snow very much and it's all Interstate between the dealer and our house so...

    Soft Top or Not?

Bought or first Jeep, 2017 Willys JKU with the factory hardtop/freedom panels. When we were looking I was thinking, well have to get a soft top too. As I think about how we will use it, I'm wondering if we need it. Of course can do with out for a while and get one later, just curious what...

How often do you rotate your tires and do you use all 5 tires in the rotation?

Isn't that great. I looked a a Willys locally. It had 7k more miles (46k total), tires weren't bad but definitely original, no hitch and no Certified vehicle warranty. Best they would to was $1k more than I paid for mine. They had the nerve to tell me their body shop would only charge me...

How often do you rotate your tires and do you use all 5 tires in the rotation?

Better than a gym membership. I have one son that is a working manager for the inside business of a wheel specialty company. They do powder coating and other work for a bunch of dealerships. He'll send pictures occasionally of a day when the have a new Bentley, Ferrari and Range Rover...

How often do you rotate your tires and do you use all 5 tires in the rotation?

Thanks all for the rotation recommendations. Regarding charging for the tires I assume they built it into the advertised price on the Internet along with anything else they had to do to get the factory certification. When we sat down to negotiate a purchase price we started from the advertised...

    JK resale value

Nice looking Jeep. For some perspective I just bought a totally stock 2017 Willys JKU, Chrysler certified, one owner vehicle, with 39k miles, hardtop clean Carfax and 5 brand new BF Goodrich tires for $28,700 from a dealer in the Midwest. Doesn't look like it's been offroad. Private...

How often do you rotate your tires and do you use all 5 tires in the rotation?

I bought a 2017 JKU Willys, out first Wrangler, and it will be delivered this week. When I went to look at it I had to wait a bit as they were in the process of putting 5 new BF Goodrich OEM tires on it. The sales manager explained since it was a Chrysler Certified Vehicle the tires had to...

Tire Size, Lift, and Highway Driving Manners

Thanks for the input. Yeah thinking back to the HS Physics class and what happens to force as something rotates faster and/or has weight further from the center axis makes a lot of sense.

Tire Size, Lift, and Highway Driving Manners

Thanks much. Probably won't have anything for a while unless something drops into my lap. The top off season is pretty much over around here now and with Covid my 3rd garage stall is being used as my gym so would have to rent storage space. Plus used vehicle prices are so stupid now. Figure...

Tire Size, Lift, and Highway Driving Manners

Thanks for your comment. Yeah not planning on buying this one, although he has been lowering the asking price. The guy said it was his 6th Wrangler and is a doctor so I would assume not limited dollar wise to do it right and knew what he was doing. He said it would physically run 60 with the...

Tire Size, Lift, and Highway Driving Manners

I'm looking to by a JK Unlimited. At this point it will not be used for any serious off-roading and will be our open air "fun" vehicle. Part of the fun would be taking it on vacations possibly up to 1000 miles one way. I looked at a nice 2017 manual Sahara with 35 in tires and a 3 inch lift...

    Prodigy Performance Turbo (150 horsepower)

Thanks. According to the Facebook ad the kit was professionally installed by a shop the specializes in performance cars and SUVs. The shop gets good reviews on the Internet, and I know some people in the area that are real car/truck people so they or someone they know most likely have...

    Prodigy Performance Turbo (150 horsepower)

I'm looking at JKs and a 2012 Rubicon (45k mile) with a Prodigy Performance Turbo (150 horsepower) pops up for sale by owner on Facebook Marketplace. The ad claims the Jeep has never been off-road and the turbo was installed by a local shop that gets good reviews. Is this something to...

Looking at buying a Wrangler Unlimited for a fun vehicle

Not as well as I would like lol. I missed buying one back in February (buyer was signing the papers when I arrived at the dealership). No option 2016 Unlimited Sport 24k miles perfect condition clean Carfax and Chrysler Certified for $21,500. Keep looking for that unicorn.

What's the deal with JKs from Canada?

My son lives in the Austin area and is in the auto wheel industry. His company does business from Dallas through Austin to San Antonio. The owner pointed out the Jeep to my son for me. Normally since the company owner has relationships with the dealers he can get pretty good pricing for his...

What's the deal with JKs from Canada?

Good point. For the price range we're looking it would most likely be out of factory warranty but we might bump the budget a bit and it could be in play. There aren't any actual differences in Jeeps made for Canada vs the US is there?

What's the deal with JKs from Canada?

Thanks, makes a lot of sense. We're looking a "newer used" Wranglers so the cash for clunkers isn't a factor in our case, but the exchange rate sure is.
