Right front fender running light stopped working on 2009 JK

the orange circular running/parking light on the right front fender stopped working. I replaced the bulb. I checked the continuity in the wire between the connector and the bulb. I replaced the turn indicator/parking light bulb that is in under the headlight. Fuse is good. What else could...

I actually finally installed a light. A pair of inexpensive LED's - very bright actually.

    Underhood lights

I installed these small LED lights from Amazon and rigged them up on a manual switch under the hood so that I can turn them on if I need to see better under the hood when it's dark out. Surprisingly bright.

Advice needed with check engine light

I have not seen the problem and so far things have been good as far as I can tell...not sure what happened above. It has not recurred at least not with me in the Jeep, and there are no codes...so good for now.

Advice needed with check engine light

Update - Jeep has been running well but yesterday my wife reported that it starts to run rough at higher RPMs - the opposite of what was happening before! I am thinking that means fuel pump is the culprit. I believe the filter is integral to the pump, so by the time you drop the tank and pull...

    P0301 misfire

did not need a $5000 analyzer - the JScan app and a blue tooth OBD2 scanner worked great - and not expensive.

Advice needed with check engine light

I changed the radiator cap, and did not notice that I was missing a lot of coolant last time I checked - I am keeping an eye on it. i will check again today since my wife is back to driving it. If I am missing a lot of coolant in the make up tank again this time, not sure what I will do!

    P0301 misfire

I just went through this - see my other post. I replace plugs, wires, and coil pack, and the P0300 code (general misfire) went away, but i got a code showing fuel injector circuit on no. 2. I replace the fuel injector with a remanufactured OEM injector and solved it - but I also read that for...

DIY H4 headlight wiring harness for 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK

She did not like the LED's with the amber halos - looked too modern. Plus, I installed them without asking her, so that was another problem. It's HER jeep - not mine. I just get to work on it. I got the harness sorted. I had the relays wired wrong, 87 and 86 were swapped. Then I found out...

DIY H4 headlight wiring harness for 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK

I am trying to wire up some H4 headlights for the wife's jeep. I am putting in sealed beam halogens and have put together a wiring harness that runs from the battery through a set of relays, and uses the original passenger side headlamp socket connections as the trigger. My wife did not like...

got the radiator cap - it's obvious when you compare them that the original one has had it. Hope that was it!

Advice needed with check engine light

thank you - will check that too. was the fluid coming out of the cap itself? I have to return the "core" fuel injector and can pick up a radiator cap then. I just noticed today that the overflow tank was nearly empty and I had just filled it up last weekend. yes, only one. That is all the...

Advice needed with check engine light

I took it apart and I got it back together again! The 8mm bolts for the EGR valve pipe down at the EGR valve were so corroded it was hard to get a socket on them, so I ended up having to pull up on the pipe and slide the inlet plenum out from under it. Other than that, all went pretty well. I...

Advice needed with check engine light

well, the only open auto store today (napa was closed) that had any only had one - so that answered that. It is a remanufactured OEM injector though - identical to the others so that's good. I pulled off the top! the injectors all ohmed out at about 12.2 ohms - even the suspected bad one. I...

Advice needed with check engine light

no. 2 is front drivers side. I plan to get a new plug for the injector as well and splice that in if the wires are flaky there. I will inspect the rest of the harness and probably re-wrap and re-tape it before reassembly. Question - should I replace all 6 injectors at the same time, or is...

Advice needed with check engine light

THE SAGA CONTINUES. A couple of times this week the engine would misfire - only a warm start - and the code is now ONLY p0202 - no. 2 cylinder fuel injector circuit. I am going to go to NAPA and buy one injector and one plug, and then tear the top off of the 3.8L engine. I promise pics and to...

Advice needed with check engine light

Yes, I did put anti seize on the new plugs. I used the Bosch double platinum plugs. I have read that you are not supposed to add anti-sieze if the OEM doesn't call for it, as it changes the toque value, but I always do it as it beats the alternative. I did use a torque wrench to reinstall...
