Electrical issues starter not turning over

Not sure about that wire. Are you sure when you reconnected negative to the battery it was clean and tight? That would be my first suspect.

    Steering issues

Tire pressure is around 30 32psi I can move my tie rod bar up and down. No play at all in steering wheel. Tie rod will rotate but should not go up and down. Can you torque it down?

    Steering issues

Lots of potential problems here. What tire pressure are you running? Have you checked the ball joints, tie rod, drag link? Is there play in the steering wheel?

9 months in storage (is there anything I can do differently next time?)

Yes I have used StarTron as well. Usually would buy which ever one is cheaper/on sale. A Few of the pro bass fisherman are sponsored by StarTron and talk up the product. Although they’re getting paid to do that, they will not use something that doesn’t work.

Death wobble with a 6 lift

Where abouts in West Michigan? I live in Middleville. I hear good things about Jp monkey garage in Hastings, they specialize in jeeps. Cascade 4wd is also supposed to be good. I honestly do all my own work except for tires and alignment.

Sta-bil is commonly used to winterize boats. When I used to have a tournament ski boat with a GM V-8 block, biggest things I did were to change the oil shortly before. Remove the battery. Drain the coolant (water) and fill with antifreeze (probably not needed for a car). Ran marine sta-bil all...

Death wobble with a 6 lift

With that much lift, a lot needs to be done to make it drive right. Are control arms adjustable? Has it had the castor angle checked? Track bar adjustable? Track bar and drag link parallel? Wheel bearings? Not all if this causes death wobble but everything has to play nicely together. I...

    Unfortunate JKU of the week

That second Jeep must have something special under the hood. 4 exhausts-2 coming out of each side. I’m guessing that is a very high dollar custom build.

    What coolant does everyone use

Since I got my Jeep used and wasn’t 100% sure what was in there, I went with the Prestone All Vehicle stuff. Pretty inexpensive and easy to find. My temperature gauge is right where it should be it is running good. I used the premixed stuff.

Trouble Finding 2016 Center Console Part

Looks like 9 has two parts so that’s probably the only way you can buy it through the traditional method. I have the same issue with a visor. Only need a little clip and now have to buy the whole visor. Might want to check your local junkyards or see if somebody is parting out a Jeep. You can...

New JK owner, need advice on rust

Eastwood has a lot of good products including a product you can apply inside your frame rails. Their website is pretty good describing each product and the best use for it.

    Another Radio Question

I don’t have direct Jeep experience but I did put a Boss double DIN touchscreen in a 350z convertible. It was very bright and easy to see even with the top down. I don’t think that Boss is the highest quality so my gut would tell me that most other brands would also be OK

Can anyone recommend plug and play headlight upgrade kits for 2018 JK?

i have to admit that I bought the cheap lights on EBay. $75 included fog lights. I did have to swap the high and low beam wires but otherwise they were plug and play. Also it was easy to run a tap from the fuse box for my halos. I did have to adjust them down as I was gpetting flashed but now I...

    Will a driveshaft from a 2021 JLU fit a 2008 JK?

I was in the exact same situation as you. As an option, I found a driveshaft on eBay. It was a Pro Comp and I managed to find it on sale for $225 which I believe was a steal. It was rated for up to a 4 inch lift and fit perfectly on my jeep. Been very happy with it, probably not as good of...

What is this part called? Does it look bad?

Just as an FYI, the bump stop is designed to keep the suspension from bottoming out. As long as you are not doing any heavy off-roading replacing it isn’t that urgent.

New member from TN with questions

Good point, I was not thinking about the track bar was original. One piece of advice if you are buying an adjustable track bar is to get one that can be adjusted while it’s installed. I can’t imagine trying to get it to the proper length otherwise.

From what I can see in your picture the track bar and drag link look pretty parallel. I would think putting a stock Pitman arm back on is going to throw that off but I could be wrong. I only know that when mine were not parallel I had terrible bump steer. When I got them parallel that disappeared.

2009 JK X gauge cluster lights all come on with no power

When you put the new alternator on did the tensioner pull the belt tight? If it isn’t might not be delivering a full charge which caused the battery light to stay on and eventually drain it.

    HVAC fan issues

A lot of times an intermittent problem can be due to a loose or bad ground. The problem is tracing where the ground is located.

New to me 2015 JKU steering issue

Unfortunately there are probably close to a dozen things that could cause this. The problem is finding the right one. I would start with easy things like tire pressure and a front end alignment by a shop that has experience with Jeeps. Another thing you can try is to be under the Jeep and have...
