Typical new owner questions about engine and transmission

I change oil at 5k miles and let the dealer do it with OEM stuff. Coming up on 15k miles of ownership and 112k miles on a ‘16 JKU Sport.

Can you run a spacer lift with a suspension lift

Watch for coil bind up. Not a big fan of spring spacer lifts. Originally thought you were going with a body lift. Neither lift is designed to work together.

    Connector for 6 panel switch

Yes, I’d recommend trying your local auto salvage yards for a takeoff part. If you can solder and shrink wrap, it’s a simple splice into the main harness.

Jeep JK 2016 Rear seat to bed conversion?

I’ll suggest a nice one man tent and a sleeping mat since you will be hauling luggage inside. Stealth camp by using a few of the free campsite apps on your phone. BTDT on a motorcycle going cross country a few times.

    Replacing ECU

Re: Jscan - yes, it's only licensed to one VIN. Your replacement ECU should be identical to your original to work correctly. IF your vendor continues to ignore you, contact your credit card and dispute the transaction. That'll get them to call you.

What did you do to your JK today?

Good PSI for BFG All Terrain

Google chalk test for tires to properly set inflation. My 35s ended up at 28 PSI and the TPMS got adjusted accordingly.

Were H4 light bulbs ever standard?

Look closely at your harness. There may be a short adapter harness installed. Most H4 bulb sellers include them in their kits.

Snowbird with a '16 JKU Sport

^ THAT is finally happening. Jeep’s scheduled in for new gearing March 2. After some serious mind smoke was released, went with the Revolution 4.88s because I occasionally tow a trailer. My freeway time is limited to the twice annual Michigan to Texas relocation.

looking for inner fender that are easy to install along with mid width flares

I’ll probably go to 37s next tire change because I have the suspension and clearance. Stir away, can’t have the stew bubbling over. :p

looking for inner fender that are easy to install along with mid width flares

It does when adding the taller tires and rubbing the fenders happens. The owner may end up having to lengthen bump stops to stop it.

looking for inner fender that are easy to install along with mid width flares

My experience is limited to my 2016 JKU with 3.5" lift and 35s. I swapped flares and liners out for the pictured ones. In my defense, I did wrench for a living and didn't have one hole to drill. I did install rivnuts in all the holes to really simplify the install. No trying to get a wrench...

Year and model of the jeep? Lifted and how much?

    console storage

I have the ones that mount under the roll bar and use them regularly for small items and my Freedom Top bag. All my golf cart accessories stay in them when not out on a trail adventure.

What did you do to your JK today?

A thin ziptie run between the wires on the plug and around the coil will keep it in place while you research. NTATWWT Heck, I might just leave it like that.

    Death wobble

This leads me to think you have a tire/wheel problem. Have they been checked for balance since the wobble reappeared?

    Death wobble

Did you have the death wobble BEFORE installing the axle and steering parts? It sounds like it was there beforehand.
