@Largehit71 is correct. It is a retainer bracket for a soft top. However, the picture you posted is of a JL so it may look slightly different. And of course, if you dont have a soft top, it is useless :ROFLMAO:

Your recon came with the Mopar LED light group. I can see the PO replacing them with lower quality/equal quality of lights. Is that a picture of your specific jeep?

Looks like it is the condensation on the A/C and its just water. This is normal.

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT mount on your hood. In the event of a accident, the mounts for a hood mounted hi lift jack can fail and it will turn into a deadly weapon. Maybe not for you, but someone else.

Most synthetics say 15k to 20k. I tend to lean towards 10k, but I also do mostly highway. A lot do at 7k but agreed that 5k is just pouring money down the drain.

I personally use Mobil1. I know Amsoil is supposed to be really good and Royal Purple.
