Is it normal to have a lot of engine heat in driver's side interior?

Gotcha. Yeah, I'd get it in a darkened area and have someone shine a bright light at the firewall while you inspect inside under the dash. This is a new one to me.

Large chunks in differential fluid (no whine)

I would say "Welcome to the Club", but that would be mean 😁 Yeah, just pull the cover and do a thorough inspection. Should be obvious where the pieces came from and go from there.

    Non-standard D30 axle nut size?

I didn't check, but plan to. My first thought was some boogered up the original and put whatever they had laying around back on.

Do you have the factory lsd? Seems common for the spider gears to chunk off. I've read a lot on it happening and have experienced it myself. Not good.

    Non-standard D30 axle nut size?

Ok, has anyone seen an axle nut on a JK D30 that was much smaller than a 35mm? I have had 5 JK's in the family that I've worked on... I think 3 times I've removed an axle nut. I have a 2 1/16" socket for CJ's, 36mm for YJ's, and a 35mm for the JK's I've worked on. The nut on this 2009 JK Sahara...

I wonder if someone removed a rattling heat shield?

What did you do to your JK today?

Helped my son change plugs/wires/coil on his '09. I really miss my 258.

Can not turn off traction control

The lights should illuminate when there is a problem or when it is active. You said all systems seem to be working normally. I would invest in a factory service manual. I'm afraid you're just going to be Chasing Ghosts with our well-intentioned help. I've never heard of a problem like this...

Can not turn off traction control

This is an interesting one... @MacGuyver not sure about the self test. My experience with those tests is that it's a simplified separate circuit where you are just checking the light operation. @CalvinatorJohn usually I start with what was last worked on, but I don't see a correlation. I still...

Amazon Android head unit is installed.

Is that a paid app or a subscription model? Our local club is all hot on OnX but it's subscription based & I don't care for that

Can not turn off traction control

Those lights should illuminate with the self test. Double check connections going to the dash.

Can not turn off traction control

So when you do the dash light test, the lights do come on?

Anyone else have the interior lock trim break?

The only trim pieces I have had issues with, have been the seat belt mounting bolt covers. And that was only on my 16. Little bit of RTV fixed it

Anyone else have the interior lock trim break?

It is odd. I haven't seen that before

Anyone else have the interior lock trim break?

What year? Our '12,' 13, & '16 are all holding up fine so far. I did have the driver side mirror fall off on my '08 after slamming the door one time, but that's a different issue :)

Novak Transfer Case Linkage Bushing upgrade.

I think I've got a couple of the Dorman ones loose in my glovebox as spares. I used the mopar ones and the dorman's seemed to be just as good.
