    Hello all!

Welcome. Haven’t used a lot of your parts but the brass transfer case linkage assembly is awesome. Way better than the plastic junk Jeep put in. Broke on my son’s Jeep. I’m laying in snow / mud trying to get it back into 2WD. I need to order two more for our other JK’s.

    2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread

Yup, I hit that at 40, was good for 15 years or so. And now it seems like I hit another “slow down” the body can’t do what it used to do.

What transmission fluid should I use for my 6-speed in cold weather?

I use the Penzoil in my LJR and JKUR. Same tranny in each.

    6-speed transmission oil recommendation needed

How cold is cold? I use the same but in Central CA cold is maybe high 20’s on a rare occasion. Haven’t had an issue when we go in the snow, but I assume that point the fluid is warmed up so it wouldn’t be noticeable. So once yours warm up I assume it shifts smoother?

What did you do to your JK today?

Why? I am asking as my wife swears her vents do not blow right. The fan is on, and works but I have to agree the air coming out doesn’t seem very strong. I’d say mine is more powerful. I am wondering if door is stuck, if something is blocking the air flow etc.

    2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread

Mine was a 87, first year. It had a carburetor, which was a pain. They had to fix it three times under warranty. Then it was fine just difficult at time when off roading. Mine was a manual as well and much simpler to work on, very basic. The LJ is a 6sp too. I think the TJ / LJ are a...

    2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread

Well I am not sure about that, the LJ seems very close / similar to the YJ. Of course I haven’t drove it since 97 😂? I get the other, we have two JKU’s so when we need more space we take them. That is why earlier I said “given my choice when Jeeping I’d choose the LJ”. But there are times...

    2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread

Just caught this. Too bad about the LJ. I know what you mean, we have five kids but now the youngest is 17. Given that we sold the family Suburban and picked up a one owner LJR, love that thing. Almost lost it to someone else, but the seller kept his word. It’s my DD while my 17 drives around...

2016 JK Unlimited wheel speed sensor not working

I would try OEM and see what happens. Even though you tested and have voltage are you sure the connections are making contact and none of them bent or anything? Is it snapped in all the way?

Need help with spare tire lug nut key

I’d say take to America’s Tire, they will probably have a key for it. If not can try and hammer on a socket and then use ratchet to remove it. They do make a tool set to remove locking lug nuts which is an option.

    35s on stock JK Sport

Thanks. That is close to I imagined it. I am thinking any flex off road they will hit the fenders.

    Jasper vs LKQ remanufactured engine

I agree the right lookes like an alignment dowel. I am sure someone capable of welding / machine work could fix the left. Beyond on my skill.

    35s on stock JK Sport

Pictures? I am curious how it looks. Seems like it may be a little tight fit.

    Jasper vs LKQ remanufactured engine

To clarify are you saying the engine is broken where the transmission mounts up? I believe the only engine mounts are on either side engine about 1/3rd of the way back from the front of the engine.

    Looking for parts

Yup, I am with Chris, what kind of parts?

What all should be replaced when you do a head gasket

I would wonder about the rest of the engine as far as if it is okay. But to answer your question might want to consider the following since it is apart. 1. Oil cooler housing to Dorman 2. Spark plugs since it is all apart. 3. Ignition coils? I would OEM for any electrical components.

    Suggestions needed for trailer hitch

Well that is a distance from California. Probably just as cheap to buy one then pay shipping from here.
