Is anyone using ethanol free gas?

Is anyone using ethenol free gas? The Chevron station I get gas at offers it, however it is rated as premium and about $10 more a tank full. Not sure there is any advantage to using it other then it not having ethenol in it.

What are you using for an OBDII scanner on your JK?

I use Jscan with this obd2 interface: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XGBKG8X/?tag=jkforum-20 Android only. There one for iPhone, it's a bit more. You will need to purchase a license for each jeep, the cost is about $24/jeep.

The long crank times at startup saga

This is what I came across for resetting the CanBus: https://desk.zoho.com/portal/infotainment/en/kb/articles/canbus-reset Still not sure how resetting one would effect the other.

The long crank times at startup saga

I really can't say, I don't have any none standard settings in this jeep. For what it's worth, the radio settings all stayed except for the time, which I had to redo. As I think about it, those setting would be stored in the CanBus correct? Again, not sure how resetting the ECU would effect...

Looking for opinions on a 2010 JK Sport

It may also be look at it as using more then 1 qt. of oil between oil changes or 3,000 miles which ever comes first. So if you are down a qt. at 5,000 miles your vehicle is not consuming excess oil. You would be best to ask a tech at the local dealership as to what they consider excess oil...

The long crank times at startup saga

One of the key things to do is to reset the ECU when ever you change out a sensor. https://www.jk-forum.com/how-tos/a/jeep-wrangler-jk-how-to-reset-your-ecu-407330

The long crank times at startup saga

I was dealing with intermittent long cranking times at startup after I replaced my plugs and wires. At first I thought it has something to do with my battery because it went bad around the same time. I replace a 800 CCA with a 700 CCA battery. I undersand that my ‘08 Sahara requires only 600...

Looking for opinions on a 2010 JK Sport

As stated in a previous post, my '08 has 137500 and does not burn ANY oil and the engine still sounds strong. There are no guarantees with any vehicle, engine, mileage. Things can change at any time. You pays your money and takes your chances when you buy used. Just have the jeep looked...

    P0301 misfire

Have you done a compression check? If that checks out I would consider the Camshaft Position Sensor, its fairly easy to replace.

JK takes longer to start when cold

Well I spent most of last evening looking for info on intermittent long crank times on startup and I came across some folks experiencing the same condition with relatively new 2014 wranglers (at the time). It turned out to be their Camshaft Position Sensor. Even though I have an '08 with a...
