    Spark plug question

Yep, the 3.8 is actually pretty easy. Especially compared to the 3.6 nightmare plug change.

Cruise control not working on 2013 JK

Looks like your speed controllers need to be replaced, or cleaned. Pretty easy.

    Soft tops

Ok, I do 100% agree with going with bestop, which is the company that makes the factory tops for jeep. However, I also don't suggest buying them from Bestop. Get them used from Craigslist, or Marketplace. There is a chance you could score a premium material top for cheap. Even a standard top can...

    Brand new to Jeeps- help!

I'm guessing that you are aiming for 2008 - 2012 for the price points you are seeing. 2007- 2011 had the 3.8 engine. It can last a long time, but it's underpowered and tends to burn oil. 2012 was the first year for the 3.6 engine and is a year we generally tell people to avoid, though if it...

    Headlight replacement

post a pic of the lights. The Factory LED jk lights had a look that really didn't get replicated by the cheap manufactures.

Automatic transmission manual mode stopped working

If you do a lot of sand driving, you may want to look into a separate radiator for the transmission. Especially with 35s on stock other stuff. Also, I assume you have verified the 3.73 on a Rubicon? I didn't think that was an option for 2017, but I could be wrong. It could be there is a...

    Herculiner on faded fender flares?

Yep, this actually degrades the plastic and can make it brittle. By heating it up this way you are bringing some of the oils to the surface / melting the plastic thus making it like new. However, that oil then goes away and you have less in the plastic. Best case scenario it looks better for a...

2012 JK skid plate part number

Easiest way to tell is to take a picture and we can identify it super quick. Picture = 1000 words... etc. Certainly sounds that way though, yes.

    New Owner

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, but the first thing to do is to get the JScan app and get the bluetooth dongle that they recommend. Buy a license for your vin from the app so you have complete control. In total this will cost you a one time fee of $50 - $60 This will allow you to make...

2012 JK skid plate part number

Are you talking about the plate that runs from below the passenger seat back to the rear wheels, only on one side? If so, that is the gas tank "skid plate". It's a big pain in the but and more expensive than it should be. Here is the one I got, but it depends on your jeep, and that was awhile...

2013 Wrangler seems to drag when taking foot off the gas

Just like any new to you vehicle, you should take it in for an inspection to your trusted mechanic. You may be experiencing standard jeep aerodynamics, or you may have a brake/bearing issue. Unless of course you are of the mechanically inclined sort with a shed of tools... in that case...

2016 JK Anyone have their dash warning lights and chime come on in a spasm for a few seconds

As a request, can you please not use caps for posts. I'll be honest it's hard to read. I know it's considered shouting in old forums and chats, I'm not sure if that still holds, but for me, it's just really rough to read and I tend to skip posts like that.

3.73 gears ration with, 35s, 3.8 and automatic transmission: Anyone have this build?

This is actually pretty important. A lift takes any small underlying suspension issue and magnifies it. It's not uncommon for feel their jeep drives fine, only to have death wobble after a lift installation. That being said, if you don't trust the shop I wouldn't have a lift done there.

3.73 gears ration with, 35s, 3.8 and automatic transmission: Anyone have this build?

The big restriction he is dealing with is the gearing of the auto transmission and the power of the 3.8 engine. I have the same engine, but I have a rubicon with 4.10 and a manual. The gearing curve for the 4 speed auto they paired with the 3.8 is totally set for fuel efficiency. You pretty much...

Left turn signal light works for ~5 seconds then quits

Three possibilities I see. First: The old bulb was bad and the computer took a bit to learn the new circuit voltage. Essentially the code disappeared by itself. (or you cleared it) Second: You have an exposed wire that was shorting out, it jiggled itself out of shorting out, but may come back...

JK 2d spider web half doors??

The front doors for a Wrangler Unlimited are the same doors that a two door has. No difference. Even the newer JL jeeps have the same doors between the Wrangler and the Gladiator. For a two door, you just need to make sure you are not buying rear doors.

Where do I find these bolts?

I hear ya. The last time I tried was probably 2018 or so, but it is never brought up in conversation as a place to go get stuff in my circles. That being said, their location is only a couple miles from Interstate 94 and they have a decent collection of vehicles, so I imagine most of the workers...

Heat blows hot on passenger's side but cold on driver's side

This has bothered me as well. While there are two 'doors' one for the heat / cold that typically gets called the blend door. There is also the gate that directs the air flow to different places in the vehicle. I'm unsure what to call that one, beyond the 'directing gate' or some such. One...

Where do I find these bolts?

I'm not suggesting that all of them are like this, just the one in my town. It's been a few years since I tried though.

Where do I find these bolts?

Fastenal sells to regular people by you? The one in my town will only work with businesses. Walk in and they ask "Contract number?" and then shoo you out when you don't have one. Our Auto Value has a really good bolt collection though.
