Thank you so much! I'm so glad to have made the move from JDM to the offroad and Jeep community! Yep! I'm a Non Commissioned Officer (Sergeant for now, pinning Staff Sergeant this year). The aerospace industry? Outstanding!

The fact that it's your daily is inspiring- my JK is my daily as well and I'm wanting to achieve similar goals. I've been contemplating the frame chop bumpers for quite some time now (Motobilt, VKS, possibly Genright). It looks like your winch is recessed which is a huge plus IMO- which bumper...

Thank you and sweet rig yourself! Yeah, trying to plan this 3 link with pushing the front is proving to be a lot more than I bargained for. 16" in the rear?! Sweet!!

Alright, so update: Sitting at 99.5"WB. We're back on our own weight! Rear is pushed back 3"-will need to get new brackets and track bar for the rear axle, along with cutting the axle shock brackets and moving them up. Still have to install the new shocks (pictured are the old ones, new...

Who makes the best soft top?

Bestop, went this route after my old Quadratec soft top crapped out.

What caster for 2-3" lift and 35's?

The general consensus is anywhere from 6-8° of castor for that ride height. I'm sure Clayton Offroad and maybe Ruffstuff make DA CA's. I'm running CORE4X4 on my 08 JK, with 7° of castor. It's also a daily, and my wife says it rides great. I'd definitely upgrade the front driveshaft to a double...

2.5 Ton Steering VS 1 Ton Steering

What's up everybody? I'm contemplating a few options for upgrading my steel 1 ton tie rod and drag link setup for a 2.5 ton aluminum set up. Front end: PR44, CavFab 1 ton steering, pushed forward 1". I'm currently running 35's and will wheel 37's until I step up to 40's. My question is this...

Thanks! Went ahead and swapped the coils for a 4.5" from 3.5", and upgraded the shocks to 6" for now. Getting ready for the bigger tires. Still have to do something about the brake booster, fuel cell, and rear brake lines. Threw the stock shafts back on to mark up and reference when getting the...

New to the forum: here's my ride

UPDATE: the front is pushed 1" so far, waiting on track bar frame side mounts and my PSC Hydro Assist with Ram to push that front end another 2"... looking at AccuTune for weld on coilover brackets and a dialed in front suspension. May have to replace that Rubicon Express Track bar in order to...

    Trek Top NX Leak Issues

Did you let the top sit in the sun prior to installing to warm up the material? I scoured the internet prior to getting mine, and from what I understood, if you don't let the material stretch and soften up prior to install, you can pop the stitching. This was the only common issue with the...

    Got a Jeep

Nice JK! I've only seen that color one other time! Looking forward to where your adventure takes you!

Has anyone built a custom sub enclosure for their JK?

Watching this thread. Thinking of building mine into the sides of the rear in front of the wheel wells, behind the driver and passenger seats.

I'd recommend getting a bluetooth OBDII reader and the JScan app. Easy to correct your shift points for your tire/wheel size and gearing, not to mention speedo and being able to read check engine codes from your phone at any time. Welcome to the Jeep life!

    Harbor Freight Badlands Apex Winch

Just pull your line every other month and spool it back up under tension to keep the winch up and running. The only time I've had a winch fail was due to letting it sit too long without using it. Have fun on the trails!

Thanks! I've got a tapped OEM box right now, and am seriously considering just the PSC hydro assist kit since I still want to daily it for a few years and managed to keep my clock spring in tact while installing the short hub and QD steering wheel. I think a stretched JK is money in the bank...

Thanks! I'm a little bit of a purist at heart, but I'm in the market for a JKU to fit my family in as well. I rarely see any yellow JKs where I live, so I thought, why not? I appreciate the kind words! As far as the stretch goes, I'm thinking one of two options: 1.) The Jeep Works ltd. 10"...
