Hello, a couple of days the rear axle just suddenly lock without me messing with it. Then we realized that there is a little piece connected below it, piece which was partially thorn apart. Please if you have any information about it respond to the thread. I will really appreciate any response, I will attach some pictures so that you get an idea about what I am talking. Thanks for your attention.

Looks like part of the elictrcal connector came apart for the E Locker . I would be also very concerned about the crack where the shaft housing meets the pumpkin. Or is a surface blemish ?
It is not a crack in the pumpkin, but we still look for a proper name for the connector. Is it just that, an E-locker?, thanks for the answers by the way

E-Locker is the Electric Locker in a Rubicon. If yours is not a Rubicon, then that's probably an aftermarket locker, and will need to figure out which one. Just FYI, neither of our Rubicons (2011 & 2013) have E-Locker connections that look like that.

Is that little box with the exposed wiring connected to the pumpkin? Those exposed wires make me wonder if this isn't something cobbled together.

I meant to say this in my previous reply.

When you say your axle locked, do you mean the locker kicked in and the "Locked Diff" light on your dash came on, or that the axel locked up and quit rotating? Two quit different issues.

Well i am not home, but the area circled in red I don’t think it exist on my. The area to right I think just plugs into the differential area. It looks like you have an extra connector.

That's what I thought, too. That box thingy with the exposed wiring just looks like something somebody has spliced in at some point.

That box looks like a Z-Locker from Z Automotive. It's an adapter to use your factory functions with an aftermarket E-locker.
I believe @JeepJeezy is correct .Here is a pic of a Z Locker wire loom . That little box is very close to the connector that plugs into pumpkin . It’s possible it’s a relay . Possibly got busted up by a rock .
While doing research on E Lockers in the past for my own Jeep . The circuit contains a fuse & relay . That’s what leads me to relay but not 100 percent sure in this case .
Anyways glad no crack in diff
You can purchase the wire loom with connector and box . .Hope this helps you out
