    Overheating from heat soak

My ecm is bypassed. I’m not too sure there was any good ecm communication. The fans ran full speed all the time when the key was on when I bought it. I wired in a derale variable pwm system. It is mediocre at best. I do think a single fan or a pair of twin fans pulling more air would be helpful...

    Overheating from heat soak

My jk runs cool on the trails. It’s when I’m on the freeway pulling a grade or for instance running up the road to big Bear. My issue is I don’t have a stock radiator. It’s a Ron Davis special for my type of swap. I’ll grab a link to the kit/system and post it.

    Overheating from heat soak

Is 230° too hot? I have hit 235° once and then brought it down as fast as I could, which is easy, just get off the gas basically. My fans are dual 12" brushed ( and really noisy). When I bought the JK, it was wired to run full speed at all times. I got tired of screaming over the sound when...

    Overheating from heat soak

I installed a pair of spiked louvers (blemished) on the hood. It worked. Dropped the temps on the same run/climb and speed 9 degrees. They look good. I could not find the blemishes. Maybe the driver side louver was bent the wrong way, meaning the dross or down side of the cut is up, it’s a...

    Overheating from heat soak

I did not swap myself. It was done as a kit by "hemiswap.com" which is out of business now. The actual install was done out of a shop in Gilbert AZ, as best I can tell. It was done in 2009 for the 2010 sema show by the owner of discount tire. I don't think it was offroaded much until I got it as...

    Overheating from heat soak

Looking for some real world info on hemi's stuffed in JKU's. I am still having a heat soak or air flow problem. I have a Ron Davis radiator system with twin 12" spal fans, old style noisy ones. My issue is at highway speeds under load. As soon as I start a grade, the coolant temps rise to 230...

Ok, the pro comp lights list as 4” od, how big is the hole in your bumper? Do these mount behind the front of the bumper? If they fit properly, would some of the light be blocked, as in the hole in the bumper is smaller than I’d of light. Do they look like this from the side?

Door ajar and dome light not working

Big thanks for the pic. I used it to compare my lock/switch.

Door ajar and dome light not working

Got the front working! After the harness fix, I realized the striker was not triggering the rocker switch on the door side. I adjusted it and now it’s 100% working. The rear I will leave for a while. I took a picture of the driver door harness part number while I was there.

Door ajar and dome light not working

Small update, it is looking like two separate issues. I took the rear outer panel off to see if any of the harness existed and found literally nothing. The front had limited success. I found one issue then two. The door must have opened without the nylon strap around the footmans loop and...

    Overheating

Pressure is relative. Could be just a pound above ambient and you might get some overflow from the fill neck. The chocolate milk check is dreaded around here. I have to maintain a few forklifts.
