Sorry - yes, foolers on the downstream O2 sensors.

I think so; so far so good the CEL hasn’t come on again - at least not yet.

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

Thanks - I’ll try that with the next oil change; so much to do I wish the weather was better right now. Do you use a Mopar oil filter or a premium aftermarket one?

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

No sparks, at least not visible ones. 😂. But the engine also sounded fine when I just ran it. It’s only about 45 degrees outside right now - maybe it just doesn’t like the cold? On the bright side I found the coolant leak I’d been smelling since I bought it and it was just a loose hose clamp -...

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

The previous owner put the headers on, and no he didn’t. I have plug booties on order but maybe I should replace all the wires as well…

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

No, and it’s getting dark right now so I’ll check that next.

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

    Not quite 100,000.

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

So you think that noise is exhaust rather than lifters?

    Is this 3.8 lifter tick?

Started hearing this on my new-to-me ‘07 JK and after reading all the threads about lifter tick I’d like to know if I have it:

Awesome - thanks. Now I have a way forward!

P0420/P0430 with OEM cat on ‘07 JK

Those codes could theoretically be either - P0420 is Bank 1 and P0430 is Bank 2, so it doesn’t specify which sensor it is. That said, the downstream sensors are checking for variation from the upstream sensors, so logically putting foolers on the downstream ones should eliminate the problem. And...

P0420/P0430 with OEM cat on ‘07 JK

Awesome - thanks. Do you think for the headers alone it is a question of new sensors, adding foolers, or both? And unfortunately the Amazon link in the other thread is broken - which foolers are you using?

New owner with a 2007 JK Sahara

Hi - new member and new JK owner as of today. I’ve owned everything from a 1967 M38A1CDN3 to a 2003 TJ, but this is my first foray into the post 4.0l world. Mine is a black 2007 JK Sahara with less than 100,000 miles on it, although it has definitely seen some use and needs some love. I’m not...

P0420/P0430 with OEM cat on ‘07 JK

Hi, new to the forum and new to JKs - I’ve had 4 other Jeeps over the years but nothing newer than a TJ. I’ve read the other threads about P0420/P0430 but my situation seems different. The previous owner installed Rugged Ridge headers but didn’t change the cats - so as far as either of us know...
