It’s true the upper joint has play in most cases. I don’t believe the upper joint is designed to hold an axial load but instead just keep the rotation. Here is a good cut away representation from Synergy. I run Teraflex and have a similar design.

Just for consideration, a dashcam with a reverse camera. My Wolfbox is great. I have zero visibility out the back window otherwise. The camera has good quality and wide view. Hookup is easy.

Some new shocks. Hope to smooth things out on/off road. Rears aren’t in their final spot but didn’t like the fender mounts supplied. Tucked them up and under for now.

@Ryandou I had to pull the control arms before I could tell how bad it was. Under acceleration the axle would roll forward and rub the control arm sleeve. So much so it deformed the metal control arm sleeve. A harbor freight ball joint press and some time they come loose.

When I replaced the control arm bushings in the rear they were so bad I had metal on metal toward the back of the lower bracket. It gave me a bit of drift when braking. Chased it for months.

If that’s at full bump I would say you’re in good shape. Well as long as you’re not out rallying the JK. I personally have not seen a drop bar for a JK track bar. Seen it on other rigs so if you are rubbing might be a custom bit of bent DOM and Heim joints.
