Replacement of 3.8 rear main seal

Thanks, yes I’m trying to avoid removing the tranny if not needed. If we replace the upper oil pan gasket and no leak I’m good. Just don’t want to do it twice if it needs to be dropped to replace the rear main seal, but from what I see seems they are pretty independent of each other except...

Replacement of 3.8 rear main seal

My son took his 07 to the mechanic while we were on vacation. They said it was leaking from the upper oil pan. They weren’t sure if it was leaking from the rear main seal also. I called and asked if we replaced the upper oil pan gasket could the rear main seal be replaced later if it was...

    Lift recommendation

We have the AEV 2.5 lift on three JK’s very happy with it. I have a write on this forum about it. I’ll have to see if I can find it. I guess I should say two now, my daughter was in accident in one and it was totaled. Too bad too was a 2015 Rubicon Hardrock edition with 42K miles on it. It...

Have two of them, going on 4 years and no problems with them. Of course they haven’t been used much.

What did you do to your JK today?

Found out late last week the Jeep is totaled. Damage front axle, frame bent and damage to the transmission. Now waiting on the settlement.

What did you do to your JK today?

Not today, but Tuesday. Our daughter rear/ended a car that just slammed on their brakes. The cops said if it wasn’t for the dash cam they would have put her down at fault. Also insurance saw the dash cam video and also said not her fault. She swerved in hopes to avoid it. Shoved the axle...

    HVAC blend actuators

I am not sure about this. I think they may need to be calibrated. Are you sure you put the new one in so everything was in the same position as when you removed it? I think I read somewhere on this forum you can remove the fuse for about 30 seconds and it may help to reset the system.

    HVAC blend actuators

I confirmed drivers side controls the heat, passenger by door controls the recirculating air function. That basically leaves the passenger one by the center console the directional one. Bright side found out the issue was extremely clogged cabin filters. Removed them saw how dirty they...

    HVAC blend actuators

Wanted to see if anyone could confirm which each HVAC blend door actuator does. 1. I think the drivers side sets the temperature, hot or cold. 2. I think the passenger one to the left of the glove box controls the direction of the air, i.e. foot, face, defroster. 3. I think the passenger...

    Removing Stuck Doors

Spray some PB Blaster and let it soak for a little bit. Move the door back and forth, that seems to help sometimes. On the jack, I would place it as close to the hinges as possible so the pressure is more straight up on them.

Removing all the old coolant from 3.6

No, but I haven’t done it yet. T-state is sitting in the garage. Just been busy.
