Hey all, it's time for me to sell my 2014 JKU and it has a new Dealer installed motor with 36k 3yr warranty on the motor components. So my question is I see plently JKU's selling in the $10-15k range, what in your professional experiances would mine be worth? Dealer gave me an invoice of $11k. Everything in excellent condition, NO rust anywhere new Koni shocks, new steering stabilizer, very good Wildpeak tires, Jeep lifted a couple inches, several other improvements including a 10k winch.

Depends on the frame and your local marker. I'd say start at 15k and be expecting to take 12k especially given that this is an awful time to sell a vehicle (total buyers market).

@Cimmerian doubt it.

OP, the Jeep is worth what someone is willing to pay. I see prices all over the place. Ultimately, Like Chris stated, it depends on your local market. Something I believe could be helpful to your resale value is if the warranty is transferable. If not and you've got high miles its just a crap shoot to find someone willing to pay a premium.

Best of wishes!

With the engine replacement paperwork the engine 3yr 36k warranty is transferable.

I have my 2014 listed for $15k and, while the engine is original, the entire top end has been rebuilt- cams, rockers, lifters, heads resurfaced, new water pump, cooling fans. All the engine work done by a reputable shop and come with the same warranty as yours. Several mods and I'm selling it with the OBD dongle, freedom top covers, cargo bag that fits the SmittyBilt Defender roof rack, etc.

I've had maybe three serious inquiries in a month. And I'd let it go if someone offered me $13k. But, whether or not I sell it isn't a life or death matter, it runs exceptionally well and looks great.

Good comparator!

The whole idea of listing the vehicle and deciding whether or not you disclose a new engine, rebuild or major work is a part of the discussion as well. I have not listed any of the engine work done on mine, but I have disclosed it to the serious people who have contacted me. As with the OP, I also have a 3-year, 36,000 mile transferable warranty on the engine work- but do you make that part of the listing and have people question what went wrong with it that you had to have all the work done, or do you answer the question of the odometer by saying, "It has 152k on the odometer, but less than 10k since I had all this work done."

It's almost damned if you do- damned if you don't.

Here is my FB Marketplace listing, FYI. I don't do social media, so it's on my wife's FB account. feel free to drop opinions if you're so inclined. They are welcomed.

I'd update with photos of the interior and the engine bay.

Just from past experience when I would look on Craigslist, etc I would never go see a car if engine bay and interior photos weren't included because that told me the seller probably put as much effort into the ad as they did maintaining the vehicle.

Thanks, I have some, but they're not the best with the sun angle, but I'll re-shoot them and include.
