Aftermarket lights and switches

You said post what ya got…this is what I use S-Tech 6 switch panel. I really like it, no interference with your top, everything is fused/relayed and it is so easy to add components.

I don’t have a pic of the under hood module handy, but could get it if your interest

I have a similar set up as 1o1Proof from Xprite. Super clean install and easy to add additional accessories.

Well, a long delayed update on my switch wiring. The video was for a later year model then my '08 and the panel the video used was 8 positions wide. mine is 6 wide,(edit: 5 wide) and until yesterday I was all for putting my switches there, but yesterday I found that there is printed circuit board behind all of those positions, so I am back trying to find an easy place to put them. I found Rugged Ridge makes a new panel with the proper bumps for the panel below the one in the video. oh well...

In the year that has passed, voswitch has gained some ground. I like mine. One wire through the firewall and that’s it.

I know they show it mounted over the windshield, but it can be mounted anywhere.

Ok, a few pictures this time. 1st, where I wanted my switches and a secondary location that won't work, and an alternative location, not ideal, but they will mount there. This is where I wanted them, but this is a printed circuit behind these locations. The alternate location will be beside the steering column, behind the key. Circles represent where they will go. I pulled the panel loose, and they will work as long as I start down about an inch or so. sorry for huge images - still learning this site.

You could always move your Midland over to the passenger side of the center and mount the switch where your Midland was?
