Does 11 MPG seem right?

I have a 2007 JKU and I put on a 3.5 lift and 35-inch tires and now I'm getting around 11 MPG does that seem right? or do you think something else is the problem?

I have stock gearing, so I believe 4:10, and I haven't recalibrated my speedo, would recalibrating make a noticeable difference?
 
Yes, how can you tell your MPG's when the odometer isn't reading correctly. Also your transmission doesn't like a speedometer that isn't right because that's how it shifts.

There is 3 different gear that are available for most of the years, 3.21 3.73 and 4.10.

okay, I will recalibrate my speedo and see if that helps. Should I bring it to a shop or should I order something to recalibrate it?

You have a few options, either a speedometer recalibrator like from Superchips. If you want to do more my Hypertec will recalibrate and do other performance things. Jscan will do alot of things so research and find what will work the best for you.

I've got 35s on mine and bought the Superchips basic specifically to recalibrate for the larger diameter tires. Worked great and very simple to use.
Without recalibrating, the speedometer, mileage calculator, and transmission are getting false speed data. Your shift points will be all screwed up and speedometer will be wrong.

Also i'm pretty sure it will also do something with the annoying TPMS.
 
would it be worth performance wise to get a performance one or find a cheaper one with no performance gains?


I didn't really drive mine much when it was stock and I added quite a bit of performance things to my engine so I need the Hypertech to help make use of what I did. Just my opinion the Pedal Commander is the best thing you can do to make it feel like it has more performance.

You can put alot of dollars in doing Performance mods so it's all how fat your wallet is.
 
The quick fix- take it back to the tire shop who did your wheels and tires and ask them to program the new diameter.
The Xmas stocking stuffer fix: get yourself an OBD II adapter that is JScan compatible ($30-50), add the JScan app to your phone and you can learn along the way while you start spending serious cashish on the good stuff......

Thats the one. JScan. It does pretty much anything you need.
 
Ignore that fuel consumption output on your cluster. Complete Wonky, had to take a dreaded 3 hour trip to the sister in laws, and HAL was telling me I was getting the fuel consumption of a Prius. Old school, fill up and record your distance driving ( or if you are one of those Nutters I have seen on Y tube, not driving officer I am travelling. ???????)
 
JSCAN and an adapter, (the app tells you which ones to get) First upgrade to a jeep. From there do research on the mods. Ask here. Go slow. You can spend a lot of money on crap, or spend a little money on good enough, or your entire inheritance.

Be prepared for the annoyance of realizing that a mod you put on is bad, or doesn't do what you hoped it would. I have LED fog lights on my jeep. They have a halo around the outside, but they were cheap. The fog lights work fine, but the halos interfere with the radio, so they got disconnected. It was a bit ostentatious anyway.

I will second the need to get the speedometer calibrated. Not really important if you have a manual, except for knowing how fast you are going, and accurately tracking mileage, but for automatic it is imperative, I'm surprised the shop didn't do it.
 
I ordered an obd2 sensor so I will see if that solves the issue with the gas mileage, and I will relay my results if it works or not
