Which flip-key model supports remote start?

We only have 1 key, (4 button remote, w/ double-press for remote start).
I have ordered an iCar Pro OBD scanner/reader, and I have downloaded the Jscan app.

I have read about the process of programming additional keys, and I have read about the flip key option.
I like the flip key, but when I checked compatibility w/ the remote start function the vendor says their key does not support it.
Can anyone point me to a flip key model that will support the remote start function?
I hate the idea of losing this capability just to have a folding key.

Well give us the link!! I`ve been looking for a flip key that has the remote start also

According to my “extensive” research, if the flip key you are looking at has the same FCC ID as your factory key does, then it will support the remote start option - so long as your original key does.
I found these that list the same FCC ID as my original key…

I bought these keys, had them cut to fit my 2017 JK. Now the lock, unlock and panic work. Remote start does not - I just get two light flashes from the jeep when I try. Does your remote start work?

Mine is the same. lock and unlock emergency alarm all work fine. I can start and drive no problem just the remote start don't work. It's been awhile since I messed with it so I`ll try the push all buttons again some day and check again.

I hate the size and shape of the Jeep keys. I'm not much of a key fan anyway. I am not one of those guys with a keyring carrying 17,836 keys. I have the key to each vehicle by itself and grab what I need. I'm thinking I will give these a try.

The remote start function works on mine - sometimes.
I’m not sure if it only works when the doors are locked, or what condition allows or prevents the RS function to work, but I actually used my RS function yesterday.

To initiate the RS, ALL THREE BUTTONS (lock, unlock, and the third BLANK button) must all be pressed at the same time.

In the past, I thought the 3rd button was the ‘panic button’, but it is NOT USED for the RS function.

If needed, I’ll post a video of the process that worked for me.

The factory remote start will not function in most vehicles unless the doors are locked. I think this is near universal. On my wife's 2011, the OEM remote start will not work unless the doors are locked, and you must double click the button. On my Chevy Colorado, you had to click the lock button and then the start button, even if the doors were already locked.

I can see how that alone might cause your intermittent function.

The image in the link you posted shows 4 buttons; Lock, Unlock, Unlabeled, and Panic. Does the one you got only have 3?

I order THIS one tonight, because it's about half the price. I'll let you know how it works out.

My severely overthought wiring project is taking shape.
Got the circuit breaker mounted, designed the mounting plate for the bus’s bars, & planned my wire routing.
