I'm changing the oil in my 2017 JK, and noticed a black plastic piece lodged sideways at the bottom of the oil filter. Based on pictures I'm seeing online, this may have come from the oil filter housing cap.
Wondering how this might have happened, whether I can buy a new housing and move on, and whether this could cause bigger issues down the line. I'm assuming I should not reinstall this cap and drive the vehicle...
