[QUOTE="Dirty Dog, post: 461147, member: 24042"] It was yesterday, but oh well... We took a drive out by Leadville and ran Halfmoon Gulch. It's mostly an easy to moderate trail, with one real obstacle if you take the spur to the Iron Mike Mine. Stunning views, nice wildlife. One of our kids has climbed all the 14'ers in Colorado. Now he's finishing the "Highest 100", which are all 13,809 or more. Halfmoon Gulch runs between Mounts Massive and Elbert, both of which are 14'ers. So we dropped him off at the trailhead for Mt Oklahoma, and he climbed that while we ran the trail. There is a memorial at the trailhead to a group of soldiers from Ft Carson whose helicopter crashed into Massive.
