It's always something. My EGR valve has been cracked at the base for over two years. It is working no codes. can smell a little exhaust at idle when it is closed. It is not coming off, bolts are rounded (winters) one sheared off. I have a new one somewhere, disconnected it from the top. I warmed up the 3.8 and red lined it in the driveway, no issues yet. What is the worst that can happen? Yet to put the tire back on and take it for a hard ride. I would prefer it failed in the closed position, hence the disconnection. Thoughts?
