Hi all,
I am here seeking some guidance from the Jeep family. I have an 08 JKU with 210k miles on the odometer.
At 210k I’ve obviously done some work to it to keep it on the road. A couple radiators, a few sets of tires and brakes, a motor replacement, several batteries, hubs, ball joints, Tie rod and TRE, transmission flush, EGR valve, thermostats, thermostat housing, and a partridge in a pear tree…
So here is where I need help. This past week I replaced the brake pads, rotors, unitized bearings, and ABS sensors and wires. I also flushed the master cylinder and bled the lines because there was some residue of something floating in there. My problem is The ABS/BAS and traction control light came on and won’t go away. An important note here: the BRAKE light isn’t coming on which makes me think it isn’t the ABS module. I’m getting C1041 and C1011 codes that I haven’t been able to solve.
The steps I have taken so far are to clean the new sensors, clean the electrical cannon plug harness connectors with deoxit, built a wiring harness for the left from wheel speed sensor all the way to the fuse box to eliminate the potential of an internal wire short on the stock wire.
I am stumped. The only things I can think of are that either 1) the new ABS sensor in the left front hub is actually faulty from the manufacturer 2) the new unitized bearing wheel speed sensor wheel isn’t in spec for the ABS system and is therefore throwing the code or C) …. And the worst case scenario…. The ABS control module is bricked.
Thoughts?
