I put new driveshafts went to test ride it. hit the gas and the motor throttles out and comes back on for sec and then throttles out. So I was like what the F**K. I put it in reverse to back up and it does not happen in reverse. I tried it a couple of times. go forward throttles shuts down. Reverse throttle works fine.

any help I am going nuts.

Please provide some specs:
Year, engine, tranny (manual or auto) and whose driveshaft(s) did you install (both or just the rear?).

Okay. When you say "throttles out," does it act like it's choking out, or act like it's getting flooded out, or like if you dumped the clutch in a manual transmission; or does it just immediately cut out?

Like it is choking out or not enough air. then it comes right back on for a couple of seconds. remember not in reverse. I made a video you can click on.

Okay, I have a couple ideas.
1. We know it's cutting off, but can you accelerate very slowly and see if it consistently cuts off at a certain RPM?
2. Does your JK have the sport shift where you can manually change gears and, if so, have you tried that?

I'm thinking 1) there's a sensor detecting a vibration or 2) the output shaft speed sensor may be the issue.
Do you have an OBD to read any codes it might be throwing and/or are there any dashboard indicators?

Wha? Why would tire size kill throttle response? What a weird one that is.

Well put !!! Blackjku Just think if your tire sizes was16.25 that's a little wheel. that alone will make everything go haywire. not just speedo. Live and Learn

I used a Superchips flashpaq to recal my tires and gear change as well a few years ago but luckily didn't have this problem.

Was it an older or newer software update and which superchips device were you using?

Gen three, So that is the newest one. while I was I the phone I think they updated it. right from the start the jeep would not except update. I did not think that it change anything, but it went down to 16 inch tire size. also like to point out it did not happen in reverse, because it can not see the speed o.
