Strength of rock rail bolt?

I have a 2017 2 door Willys. I like having the rock rails and I'm not ready to replace them until I've saved the money for the ones I really want. For the sake if my shorter passengers, I'd at least like to have some little steps that are compatible with my rockrails but everything I've found requires drilling, and that will void the very generous warranty I got from the dealership. So anything invasive is out. Since I'm a metal fabricator, it was no problem to fab up some cool looking steps on a bracket that bolts over the bracket for the rails. My concern is: how strong is that bolt? I don't want to strip the inside threading. There is a little tongue that rests inside one of the slots in the frame that gives extra support and 2 braces in the back the push up against the frame to prevent any twisting. Is that one bolt gonna hold? The way I explained it is kinda confusing so ask any questions if you have them. I'll include some pictures of the steps themselves and some of one mounted to the jeep. And a pic of the bolt in question (the threads are messed up on the end. All of them have been like that since the first time I removed them)

What grade is the bolt?

If you want a strong bolt and don't want to have to worry about anything, replace it with a Grade 8 SAE or Grade 10.9 metric bolt.
