Spare tire carrier

One of the studs on my factory spare tire carrier the plastic has cracked. The stud is still there but now kind of crooked. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what solution you came up with. A new one is pretty expensive. Thank you in advance for your help!

Are you carrying the Factory spare or a larger tire?

Craigslist & Facebook Marketplace you can find them cheap or free. If you ever want to go bigger, I recommend Smittybilt HD spare tire carrier. That's what I have.

Also if your planning on upgrading your bumpers and also going to a larger tire buy a bumper with a swing away tire holder.
