Thanks for the reply. Ours is actually supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We're in IL and right now snowing and 40 MPH winds an d6-8 inches of snow Saturday night so no open air stuff for a while. Not supposed to snow very much and it's all Interstate between the dealer and our house so hopefully they get it down here before the heavier snow. We did have a JKU as a rental for a week in Hawaii a couple summers ago. That was what convinced us to get one as opposed to a convertible (like the Camaro we had for the other week) for a "fun" vehicle. We did take the Freedom top off that whenever we could. I've seen a couple ads in my area for OEM soft tops either brand new or just just a couple times, asking price 50% of new price so I was wondering it it was just a personal choice that they wanted to get rid of it or if most people didn't like them. Agree on the idea of doing a summer without, but if an almost new one comes along for $900 or so, I'd be tempted to just pull the trigger without testing it.
