I popped on a new set of rims. Now I am discovering that my tires are not rated for 9” rims, says max 8.5”. Is this unsafe or would it just make the tire “bulge” and have a wider stance? Asked the tire shop and all they could say is “it is unsafe, and your tires will ballon” but couldn’t say to what extent in either issue. Anyone ever try? Discoverer st maxx 255 75/17 New tires and don’t want to throw, or try sell for pennies on the dollar.
