Reverse lights not working

Hello, my reverse lights have not been working for a while now so I had checked the fuses and they all seem to be in good shape. I figured that this problem would be because of a faulty reverse light switch so I bought one to realize I have no clue where that is located. Does anyone have an idea of where this is located so I can fix it?

From what I found it's on the left side in line with the shifter probably near the top. It should look like this:
