I talked to the people at Torq when I was ordering my lockers (I have a 2017 Sahara Unlimited as well) and kept noticing on all their lockers they had front for me all years but no rear for the last number of years unless it was a manual. I called them directly and was told I couldn't put a "lunchbox" type locker in the rear because it didn't play nice with BLD and would in fact put it in limp mode.
As a matter of fact I created a thread here after getting off the phone because I thought I'd gotten bad info, but people chimed in and confirmed.
I think what you and I, for example, are left with is to go with LSD or a selectable locker whether electric or air.
