Went for a drive and came home to a hot wheel and smoking brake pads. I’m guessing stuck caliper. Too dark to take her apart right now. If it is should I go OEM or get a duralast from auto zone?

I’ll take her apart on Monday . Supposed to snow tomorrow . I’m thinking the pads might be toast. Shame they are only 9mos old.

I put the duralast golds on a few months ago and they're great.

While you're there save yourself another trip and get the rubber boots.

My caliper pin had seized up inside the body and I had to bust out the blow torch and of course smoked the boots in the process.

If I had time to wait I would have re-ordered some powerstop pads as that was what was on it before it seized, and those were great too.

Might also replace the rubber brake line on that side in case it went bad on the inside. If you have a NAPA i'd say buy one there, I haven't had good luck with AZ parts.

Their gold line is really good.

I've got them on the JK and my wife's CRV after the OEM rotor got warped.
