Rear Defrost Light flashes once

Picked up our first Jeep. 2010 Jk Sahara. In great shape, but when I hit the rear defrost, the light on the switch stays on about 1 second and goes off. I know the connections to the grid are somewhat fragile and I've looked for obvious disconnects or broken connections. If the grid is bad, does that cause the light to not stay on? Or am I looking at a bad switch?

It sounds like the relay isn't latching. While some else activates the switch, listen to see if the relay clicks. If not, try reseting or swapping relays.

I think it's J14 in this pic (at least for a 2009)

Could probably swap it with the one next it to eliminate it. That said, I've replaced two hvac controls in different JK's because they start acting funky. Good luck
