Since you've replaced the coil and camshaft sensor, and repaired the broken coil wire, here are a few more things you could check:
Sometimes, a worn or fouled spark plug can cause a misfire. If you haven't already, try replacing the spark plug for cylinder 3.
Check the fuel injector for cylinder 3. It could be clogged or malfunctioning, preventing proper fuel delivery.
Performing a compression test on cylinder 3 can help determine if there's an internal engine issue, such as a valve problem or a head gasket leak.
Double-check the wiring and connectors related to the ignition system for any signs of wear or corrosion. Sometimes the issue can be intermittent.
If you haven't done so recently, recheck for any other OBDII codes that might give more insights into the issue. There could be another underlying problem that's causing the misfire.
Ensure that the engine ground connections are secure and clean, as a poor ground can sometimes cause electrical issues.
I read that if there is slack in the steering....the po2308 can be caused by the steering wheel not being centered on the clock spring. I know its causing an issue with the stability control because the brakes will grab for a split second at times and the esc light flashes. I've checked the injector. i'm thinking maybe the driver for the coil in the ecm but????????? I really need to get this thing fixed. Its my wife's mail delivery vehicle.
