I keep replacing the Oxygen sensors and have replaced the catalytic converters ad the exhaust manifold. What is up stream that would cause this? Was just told that I need to replace the same parts again. Have just 80k miles on my Jeep JK

Up stream is the O2's that are on the engine side of the cat's the down stream are the ones after the Cats.

Up stream have to do with the fuel, and the down stream check to see if the Cats are doing there job.

I'm having a similar issue. I'm pretty sure the last failure was because I just went an got the "OEM" Bosche one from Oreilles, though OEM I'm pretty sure is NTK. I have one I ordered from rock auto, just need to put it in.

I'm told that jeeps don't like off brand ones, so you need to be specific who makes the one you put in.

You need to make sure you're using OE Mopar sensors which are made by NGK / NTK.

If you are and you're still having issues, it's likely your vehicle is running to rich and ruining them.
