NSG370 shift knob

2012 JK with the 6 speed...stock knob...only way we've found to keep it on is RTV.

Think I'm going to tap and die the knob rather than weld a bolt on. Any suggestions for a common thread pitch for lots of aftermarket options?

Any efficacy to shortening the stick?

I helped with my buddy's 09 Jk. He cut the stick down 2 inches. Then we tap and die the stick and a #7 pool ball the same thread and pitch. The color of that ball almost matched his JK perfectly. There really isn't a common thread for shift knobs. I'd find a knob you love and use that thread. If you want to change it down the road, they have brass adapter kits to do so.
