I'm all for OEM for sensors and plugs. I try to exceed OEM if I can for mechanical. Fluids seems to be a frickin' black magic to me. I'll stick with Mopar coolant for now, but I don't want to waste money on things that are perfectly fine as a substitute - ATF fluid being one of them. I came across this info a while ago, and thought I'd share and update my links. ATF+4 transmission/transfer case fluid is a licensed Chrysler product, so there are many brands to choose from that are just as good as Mama Mopar.

And if you can't find Mopar ATF+4, (From the FAQ)?
Can I mix licensed ATF+4® fluids as long as they are FCA (formerly known as Chrysler) licensed and approved?
Yes, as long as it is FCA licensed and approved ATF+4® (with "ATF+4®" as part of the brand name) and a valid license number is shown on the back of the label.

Here is the current (10/9/2021) listing of licensed ATF+4 brands

Every Brand of ATF+4 i've ever gotten all says approved for Chrysler. There are only a few Companies that actually make ATF and Chrysler doesn't make theirs only the higher price.

Has anyone ever used Redline C+Atf in their jeeps.

I have used it in my standard transmissions in my cars cars and motorcycles before wasn't sure if its good for the jeeps?

I recently changed the transfer case juice in my 01 TJ and used Napa ATF+4.

I'll prob get a lot of shyt for this but if its "compatible" I don't subscribe to the "must be Mopar" for fluids. EI. I topped my radiator reservoir with a 50/50 universal coolant and all's been well. That was last winter.

My family mechanic, who's been in the business for decades, said that he's been using that on all his clients cars since they've been in business. 30 years later, the guy is still a 5 star shop with thousands of happy customers, so even though I was initially hesitant, that's a common trade practice that solves a very seemingly complex and never ending debate about coolants.
