Mishimoto or Dorman oil cooler?

Hello all,

I'm in the market for a new oil cooler, Dorman is the brand everyone goes with and was wondering if anyone has used the Mishimoto brand. Extreme Terrain sells Mishimoto.

I've heard very mixed things about Misihmoto to say the least. If it were me I would go with Dorman.

I had a pretty severe oil leak(undercarriage coated in oil constantly) and a busted bypass valve assembly on my OEM oil cooler. I just installed the Mishimoto aluminum oil cooler/filter housing. It fits fine but after almost a week, I'm getting oil temp and oil pressure codes with a CEL. Now I have to remove everything again to get the right brand sensors installed, so keep that in mind. Hopefully that's all it is for me.

Thanks for the update. I'd probably reuse my oem sensors and not have to deal with any CEL.

Just placed an order for dorman oil cooler. For the coolant, 50/50 okay or do I need the concentrate?

How much coolant is really lost when replacing the oil cooler to make a difference?
