There is a metal sounding sound that I cannot figure out where it's coming from! It ONLY happens at 25 mph. It's a 2015 JKU Willy's. Automatic.

What I have found out so far.
1. Sound happens when accelerating hard or soft
2. Decelerating hard or soft
3. In neutral
4. When the Jeep is hot and cold
5. When the outside air is 88 or 46
6. When at a steady 25 mph

Please help! The noise is driving me crazy 🤪

I have not. Never gave it a thought. Guessing I'll have to drop the transmission to check that?

I can't answer that I have a manual trans, isn't there a inspection plate you can take off and then shine a light up between the block and plate?

So I finally had a chance to look today. Unfortunately there are just 2 rubber plugs the size of nickels. I couldn't see much of anything even with shining a stupid bright light inside. I guess it's to the garage

*update*

Took the mechanic for a drive today. Found out the noise was the front left dust shield touching the rotor. He has absolutely no clue why it only did it at 25mph though. Either way, I'm stoked it wasn't a flex plate and the noise is gone!
