I just bought a 2017 Rubicon Unlimited, I'm having issues with it wandering and loose steering. I have to fight to keep it in the lines. Besides tightening the steering up what are the main corporates that cause this?

It is hard to say definitively without some additional information. The vehicle looks lifted and appears to have some quality components on it. Things that come to mind are:

1) Is this your first Jeep? Although Jeeps can - and should - drive straight and reliably down the road, a lot of younger drivers have simply never driven a vehicle with a steering gear (vs a rack-and-pinion setup) and the difference can take some getting used to.

2) On a straight road with little to no road crown, will the Jeep drive perfectly straight, or does it pull consistently to one side?

3) Did the PO provide any service records, particularly an alignment print off? Steering "wander" is typically a result of incorrect caster, which is common on lift kits that do not use adjustable control arms, or ones that have not been adjusted properly.

4) Are the tires wearing evenly and in good condition? What is their current air pressure at?

Welcome to the forum!

Over inflated tires, toe, caster, and your axel not centered are just a few things that can cause wandering. Some more information on your rig could help.

lay under it and have somebody turn the st wheel side to side a bit and watch each component for slop is always a good start. Trac bar, tie rods, drag link, steering box. Like the rest of us, you just bought what is likely the most abused vehicle on the road modded by somebody who may have been clueless while modding it. if it came from a dealer, worst yet. Dig in for you and your familys safety sake if nothing else.
