Hey guys, so my 2012 wrangler jk is making a rattle noise on cold starts. The noice is only present when you press the brake pedal while idling on start. As soon as I get going, the noise completely disappears and I never hear it while driving. It sounds like something is loose, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the steering column, as there is no sound whatsoever when driving regularly, braking and hitting bumps. You can only hear this when starting the car. Sometimes the rattle noise isn’t even there, so not every start, but most of them. Thought it might be from the brakes or rotors, so I had the rotors resurfaced and replaced the brake pads, but that hasn’t changed anything.
I managed to capture the sound, my camera was right next to the brake pedal when I recored this.
